Stick Jump is a one-button arcade game where you control a stickman standing on a platform. Your goal is simple: extend a stick to bridge the gap between platforms and walk across. The twist? Every platform is a different distance away, so you need pixel-perfect timing on every single tap.
Click and hold the left mouse button to extend the stick. Release the button to drop the stick and let the stickman walk across.
Tap and hold anywhere on the screen to extend the stick. Lift your finger to drop the stick. The game is fully touch-optimized.
The stick grows at a constant speed while you hold. The longer you hold, the longer the stick. Release at exactly the right moment to reach the next platform.
Understand what you're trying to achieve in each round.
Each round, your stickman stands on a platform with a gap ahead. You need to extend a stick that is long enough to reach the next platform — but not so long that it overshoots.
Every platform you successfully cross earns you one point. Some platforms may have bonus zones in the center for extra points — aim for precision!
If the stick is too short, it won't reach the next platform. If it's too long, it'll extend past the edge. Either way, your stickman falls and the game is over.
The stick extends upward at a steady rate while you hold. It rotates 90° forward when you release, landing horizontally.
Platforms are randomly spaced. Some are close together, others far apart. This randomness keeps each run fresh and unpredictable.
After the stick lands, the stickman walks across. If the stick reached the next platform, you advance. If not — game over.
Your current score and best score are displayed on screen. Try to beat your personal best each time you play!
Look at the distance between platforms rather than watching the stick grow. Your brain is better at judging spatial distance than measuring length.
After a few rounds, you'll start to feel the stick's growth speed naturally. Count in your head or develop a tapping rhythm to improve consistency.
It's better to release a bit early and learn from a "too short" miss than to overshoot every time. Short misses teach you faster.
As your score rises, you might feel nervous. Take a breath between jumps. The game waits for your input — there's no rush.
Some platforms have a narrow center zone that awards bonus points. Once you can consistently reach platforms, start aiming for the center. This dramatically improves your score over long runs.
Pick a fixed reference point on screen (like the edge of the next platform) and watch it while holding. Release when your internal sense of timing says the stick is long enough to reach that point.
Don't always go for the bonus zone. A safe landing is worth more than a risky miss. Build consistency first, then add precision on top of it.
The stick growth speed remains constant throughout the game. What changes is the distance between platforms, which increases the challenge as you advance.
The game waits for your input between jumps, so there's a natural pause point between each platform. Simply don't click or tap until you're ready for the next jump.
Getting to 10 platforms on your first few attempts is solid. Experienced players aim for 50+ consistently. The world-class players can push past 100, but that requires incredible focus and timing.
